Gaming Rumors

Image
If I was a mean-hearted person I would make a blog post about a bunch of rumors in the gaming industry. I would quote sources corroborating these rumors and find images to back up my statements. Since I'm a decent human being and care about my fellow man (I don't care a lot, but I do care) I'm not going to do that. I'll take the high road. Instead, I'm going to list the things I hope to happen and maybe they can catch on as rumors. Make sure to submit this to N4G because they love this kind of content.

Movie Review: Zootopia

Image
At its core Zootopia is about stereotypes and how unfair they can be. A "cute" rabbit wants to be a cop, but she's a rabbit and rabbits can't be cops. Well that's what everyone keeps telling Judy Hopps. In an attempt to prove her worth she takes on a case to find a missing otter. With no resources or support from her department she enlists the help of a sly fox,  Nicholas P. "Nick" Wilde . He's not a willing participant and Officer Hopps has to make sure he stays motivated to help her. An unlikely  friendship  is formed and although they don't realize it at first, they need each other.

My Favorite Baseball Video Games

Schwarber  by  CubFan_23 , on Flickr Then and Now Throughout the years video game baseball has produced some of the best sports games of all-time. I've been a fan for years and with MLB 16: The Show only a few days away I wanted to take a look at my favorites. Here are my top three: Ken Griffey Jr Presents Major League Baseball MVP Baseball 2005 . Here's a great Grantland article on how MVP Baseball still lives on today. MLB The Show Series

Zero Tolerance Podcast

Image
The Zero Tolerance Podcast Is Out!!! No, this isn't a podcast being released by ThePlayStationShow.com, but it is a podcast that you need to listen to. The Zero Tolerance Podcast is a new gaming podcast with your boys  @Franchise_254 , @Nate_Bowser and @T3AM_DISTURB3D . These three have been TPSS Community members for a very long time and I'm very excited for their new show. They love and hate video games and want you to hear about it. The first episode had a lot of The Division talk, which I 100% endorse and some Battlefield nostalgia. Mixed in were some tidbits about games they're looking forward to or have been playing lately. I have high hopes for this podcast and you should to. It's a bunch of gamers that are going to give you an unfiltered take on the gaming industry. They're just like you and me, just gamers trying to get by. You can download their podcast at  PunandGame.com which will soon have reviews, videos and other gaming related posts.

Look Back: The Golf Club

Image
Three times a week and twice on Sunday I played The Golf Club . It wasn't an addiction or an obsession. I played out of appreciation for what HB Studios made. The Golf Club filled a particular void in my gaming life. It was challenging, rewarding, and a sports game that was truly trying to recreate the feeling of golf. Most games nowadays serve up everything to the player. They guide you through the rules, like riding a bike with training wheels, and text pop-ups tell you what is expected. They hold your hand until you understand the objective and limitations. This is where The Golf Club is different. It was criticized for not having a tutorial or training mode but that's what I liked the most about it! It was pure and simple. You have to hit this ball, into that hole, with this stick. Here you go. Now do it.

Review: The Witch and the Hundred Knight (PS4)

Image
I'm not the biggest fan of jrps. It always seems like it's a ton of grinding and a story that is impossible to follow, so boy was I surprised when I started playing The Witch and the Hundred Knight and liked it . . . more than I should have.

New Logo Announcement

Image
The PlayStation Show's New Logo As a leader in the PlayStation podcasting community, ThePlayStationShow.com happily announces our new corporate logo.  We feel that to better communicate our passion for The PlayStation Show brand it was time to evolve. Since 2008, unless someone wants to fact check this, we are the longest running PlayStation Podcast that never really talked about PlayStation. Our dedication to podcasting and PlayStation has never been stronger and we feel it is time to refresh our commitment to the community. After careful deliberation and collaboration we chose a logo that speaks not only to our devotion to The PlayStation Show brand, but also to your devotion. We wanted to make sure that our logo was truly in sync with our motto. "It's not high definition, it's Higher" isn't just a catchy phrase that makes me laugh. It's a responsibility and we believe our new logo shows how seriously we take that responsibility. What

Review: Tom Clancy's The Division (PS4)

Image
It's dark outside and I'm scared. It's not the elements that scare me, even though I can barely see from the whiteout conditions. It's the voices that scare me. I've been out here for hours, in the Dark Zone, where no rules are the only rule. It's been a good run too. Packed away in my bag are a few blues and a couple greens. A nice day's haul.
