Top Games To Play On Cinco de Mayo

I'm not sure Cinco de Mayo is a real holiday. I've heard it compared to St. Patrick's day, where everyone magically becomes Irish. Either way, go grab your sombrero and let's take a crack at this gaming pinata and see what are the best games to play on this fake Mexican holiday.

Guacamelee!

A side-scrolling 2D platformer that requires precise mastery of button combinations to traverse between the living and the dead. It was fun until it got hard and that's when I stopped playing it. It's a good game that should be played if you want a challenging platformer based on Mexican folklore.

Smuggle Truck

Well this game is probably racist and politically incorrect. It's purpose was supposed to bring awareness to the plight of immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the US. What it did was get itself rejected from the Apple App Store. They had to change the name to Snuggle Truck and instead of trying to keep the bouncy immigrants in the truck you have to keep cute fluffy animals.

Red Dead Redemption

This open world western is one of the few Rockstar games that I like. It is so well made and has some of the most racist characters Rockstar has ever designed. They do such great work and always remind us of the world we still live in. I can only dream of what Red Dead Redemption 2 might be like on the PS4.,

Treasures of Montezuma

Want to play a game based on an Aztec emperor who is forced from his home by Spanish conquistadors? Treasures of Montezuma is the game you need.  What a better way to show some love to the native people than to make a match 3 game in their honor. They would be so proud if they weren't all killed off or assimilated.

MLB The Show 16: Sliders or Bust

I love stats and I love sports so baseball was invented for someone like me. For a while now I've picked up MLB The Show and every year is the same, I have to update the sliders to get the perfect simulation experience without sacrificing fun. If you're just looking for stats  Out of the Park Baseball   is what you need, but if you want more interaction, then maybe getting under the hood of The Show is in order. It all goes down like this. I get the game on or around day one and play it for an hour or two. I always think to myself, "wow this plays great out of the box. I may not have to change a thing". Then I sit down to play more and little things start to stand out. I don't give up or get any walks, I haven't hit a home run in 5 games or my batting average is sub .200. That's when I start my yearly search for a slider set that works for me. I need something that gives me stats that mirror the real MLB but also tricks me into the feeling that I'm

Review: Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories (PS4)

Disaster Report 4 is a game with a fascinating history, similar to Duke Nukem Forever, Half Life 3, or whatever Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but without all the hype. The Disaster Report series has been around since 2002 but has not had a title released since 2009. Disaster Report 4 was first announced for PS3 release in 2011. As one of the few Disaster Report fans, I closely followed any news for such an obscure title only covered by niche sites such as this one. The game was cancelled after several release dates were pushed back and ultimately the biggest earthquake ever recorded, at the time, hit Japan. Disaster Report hit close to home with its earthquake theme, thus it was cancelled altogether. Fast forward almost a decade later and we finally get the much-anticipated 4 entry in this weird survival horror natural disaster Japanese series. Was it worth the wait? Disaster Report 4 feels like a throwback to where it originates from, the early 2000’s. This can be a good or
