Top Games To Play On Cinco de Mayo

I'm not sure Cinco de Mayo is a real holiday. I've heard it compared to St. Patrick's day, where everyone magically becomes Irish. Either way, go grab your sombrero and let's take a crack at this gaming pinata and see what are the best games to play on this fake Mexican holiday.

Guacamelee!

A side-scrolling 2D platformer that requires precise mastery of button combinations to traverse between the living and the dead. It was fun until it got hard and that's when I stopped playing it. It's a good game that should be played if you want a challenging platformer based on Mexican folklore.

Smuggle Truck

Well this game is probably racist and politically incorrect. It's purpose was supposed to bring awareness to the plight of immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the US. What it did was get itself rejected from the Apple App Store. They had to change the name to Snuggle Truck and instead of trying to keep the bouncy immigrants in the truck you have to keep cute fluffy animals.

Red Dead Redemption

This open world western is one of the few Rockstar games that I like. It is so well made and has some of the most racist characters Rockstar has ever designed. They do such great work and always remind us of the world we still live in. I can only dream of what Red Dead Redemption 2 might be like on the PS4.,

Treasures of Montezuma

Want to play a game based on an Aztec emperor who is forced from his home by Spanish conquistadors? Treasures of Montezuma is the game you need.  What a better way to show some love to the native people than to make a match 3 game in their honor. They would be so proud if they weren't all killed off or assimilated.
